This is a beautiful theater, the sound is very good, many good acts coming through.
I purchased tickets to a show while visiting Vermont from out of town. When I put it on my calendar immediately afterward, I realized I had mistakenly selected the wrong date and we wouldn't be in town then. I called and emailed the opera house right away and was told I could not get a refund. I followed up and explained that I made a mistake and wouldn't even be in town. The box office said they would check with the director and I've never heard back after repeated phone and emails. Disappointed that a small opera house wouldn't be considerate enough to do a refund when it's possible for them to do so.
Barre Opera House is an absolute gem located in Barre, VT. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The historic architecture is breath-taking and they really have a wide variety of show types from classical music, to toe tapping funk, to classic rock and much more. Their costs for shows are so incredibly affordable for the level of experience that you get. If you never been, make a date night of it and experience a true wonder of Barre.
I love the Barre Opera House because it's interesting and just beautiful inside. It's a place where local go for live comedy, concerts and much more. I'm proud to know we have such a wonderful place like that.
