These guys are very experienced, and very fair. The proprietor is a master of many hobbies, friendly, and knowledgeable of history. There are not many shops that perform on this level. You should see this guys collections. He will tell you what you want to know if you ask, but is humble in his superior knowledge and inventory. Very nice people there. A long time Barre business. I am now in my mid thirties, and I have been patronizing this store since I was in Kindergarten. There is a reason a place like this stays in business for this long. They are a value to the community, hobbyists, collectors, history buffs, and anyone looking for something interesting. You must stop by there, if you do not have a hobby or extra interest, you will after visiting this shop.
They will go out of their way, to get whatever you need.

Since I was a kid and building with balsa, to now when I'm flying R/C planes, they always have a great selection, and are very helpful. I recently bought a faulty battery from them, and the owner hapilly replaced it.
Prices are about the same as online purchases after figuring in shipping charges.
I purchased a ho scale locomotive for only 15 bucks! I have never seen a model shop with such fair prices. Vary happy.
This is an old-time Hobby shop and is one of the best in New England. All kinds of, well, everything! Kids of all ages can find a passion here... be it collecting or modeling. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly as can be. They always have a neat assortment of vintage kits and all the best in supplies. I NEVER buy things online when I can go get them at C&H... because we need to support this great local business. A+++++
